A weekly blog tour!

Last week I was invited by Sue to participate in a blog hop tour.  You can see Sue's post by clicking on her name.  Sue has asked me to answer the following four questions!

1. What am I working on?
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
4. How does your writing/creating process work?

1.  Well currently at the moment not very much!  I've seemed to have lost my mojo a bit, which is very sad as I love crafting.  I think it is a combination of work (very stressful at present) and a anxious 15 year old who is in the middle of his GCSEs (thankfully they finish this week!).  However I do try and complete some UKS challenges.  The following few are some that I did but didn't get a chance to upload, I use kits from a lovely American scrapbook site, Pam puts together the most lovely kits and I always love my LO's I do using her kits, you can find them at My Creative Scrapbook.

 2. How does my work differ? I don't think it does, I have my own style and fellow scrappers always comment on how I can manage to use butterflies and bling on a male/boy page.  I feel as they are my pages for my albums I can put butterflies on the pages!

I also make cards - not many as its probably more a time thing than anything else, but I mainly use pre-coloured images as I don't get the time to colour my own stamped/digi images.  I always use up the rest of my kits to make cards and they nearly always have a butterfly on them and a bit of bling!!

These are two cards I have made for work colleagues - we are having a bit of a baby boom at work so lots of baby cards to be made!

3.  Why do I create what I do?  The scrapbooking started with photos, I love taking photos and my biggest subjects are my boys (and the furry variety).  I love to go back to the photos and record the memories, treasure what my boys did in their childhood, record their milestones.  Remember important days (Birthdays and Christmas), holidays and special days out.  I don't want the photos to be sitting on a computer or just being on Facebook - I love to look through an album!

I am also a Stampin Up demonstrator and I run a card club every month for a lovely group of ladies - we always make three cards and you can see details of all my cards and how to buy and SU goodies via my SU blog - here
Here are last months workshop cards!

I am very excited that Project life is also coming to SU - I have been a Project Lifer since 2010/2011 and now you can get goodies via SU is very exciting - so hopefully soon I'll have some PL pages using my new SU goodies!! - Watch this space!

4.  How does my creating process start?  Normally with the photo and often with a sketch/challenge.  I recently been on a design team and I always find a sketch really helps - Sue's blog (link above) always does a fab sketch challenge!  I use Pinterest for ideas and especially ideas for cards!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my blog and I hope to nominate Rebekah (my little sister - who does the most amazing cards) and my friend Jane who makes beautiful cards and scrapbook pages - so please check out their blogs next week!

Wow Sarah that's a super post. I love your style (so different to mine)and yes, I'm one of those people who is in awe of your ability to carry off bling, butterflies and flowers with male photos. You make it work beautifully. Thank you for agreeing to join in the blog tag.
